Backstage at NYFW: The Ultimate Spring Makeup at Costello Tagliapietra Spring 2015

Fresh, pretty, ethereal—with a slight edge—was the look makeup artist Tina Turnbow was going for backstage at Costello Tagliapietra. Turnbow prepped models’ skin with Arcona’s Triad Pads ($32) and primed the skin with Jane Iredale’s Smooth Affair Facial Primer & Brightener ($48). Turnbow continued to keep skin light and dewy by eliminating the use of powder on the face and combined two cream blushes, Clarity and Charisma ($27 each), to brighten up the cheeks. The Charisma cream blush on the lips and then blotted them for a natural stained look. The edge came after Turnbow coated the models’ lashes with a substantial amount of mascara and then utilized an eyeliner brush to grab mascara off the wand and line the lower lash line for a doe-eyed effect.
