This Artist Uses Flower Petals to Create Extraordinary Fashion Designs

Grace Choi, a 22-year-old student living in Singapore, has "a love affair with all things floral," she says on her Instagram. Lest you think she's talking about Lilly Pulitzer, these are not your mother's florals: Choi creates fashion illustrations layered with real flower petals, replicating the feel and texture of fabric. Working with a range of flowers such as orchids, Alstroemeria and carnations, Choi assembles the petals into long tiered ballgowns, playful party dresses, even a toga jumpsuit; the magic lies in the delicacy of the flowers and their sublime, complex hues.
